Visualising the tasks a recruiter at YoungCapital performs when recruiting candidates.

About this research
There was no detailed overview of the multiple recruitment processes at YoungCapital. It was not clear what decisions and tasks recruiters, accountmanagers and talent managers needed to make and perform during the recruitment process.

The Goal
Making a detailed recruiter journey map, about the steps of the recruitment process, in order to get a better understanding of the recruitment process. For this research, we focussed on the part until the candidate starts working.

Approach
We have done interviews and validations with recruiters, accountmanagers and talent managers. With their data and feedback we setup journey maps of the recruitment process and the tasks that they do, what they like and what they dislike. Validation interviews with accountmanagers, recruiters and talent managers have been done after this, to validate the journey map.

Interviews with recruiters from different branches
- Asking questions about what tasks and decisions recruiters had to make during the sales and recruiting process.
- Asking questions about what they like and what challenges they face.

Analysing the interviews and setting up a journey map
-Listening to the recorded interviews and noting down important tasks, energy gainers and energy drainers into a visual user journey map.

Validating and improving the journey map
- Taking a look at the journey map with the expertise of recruiters. To see if they think it is complete or if things had to change.

The conclusion of the journey map
The journey map of the recruitment process serves as a source of inspiration and context. The journey map gives inspiration on how to improve the current recruitment process with the help of the software that YoungCapital uses, in order to make this process more easily to use for recruiters, accountmanagers and talentmanagers.

The Result
Two different visual journey maps, that illustrate different recruitment procedures, with tasks, challenges of recruiters and the joys of recruiters at YoungCapital. Because of certain reasons, I am not allowed to show or share the journey maps.
